I only want to hire a couple of items, can I choose which ones?

Yes, we offer a premium package which includes croquet plus two other games (choose from boules, wooden skittles, quoits, giant jenga, giant connect four) or we can work on a bespoke hire list with you depending on what you need for your event.

I want to hire a croquet set, how much space do I need?

A standard croquet game set up requires 17.5m x 4m on a flat grass surface, however you can tweak this to accommodate other spaces if needed. We set everything up for you and so can make adjustments based on the space at your location. The longer the grass the smaller the croquet court should be.

If you are hiring a space for your wedding or event you can discuss where it might be possible to make use of their outdoor space and set up croquet or other lawn games with the events team.

Do you have public liability insurance?

Yes we do and can share a copy with your venue as required.

I have never play croquet and am not sure of the rules, how will I know how to play?

When we drop off and set up the croquet and other lawn games we provide a set of instructions and leave it with you. If you want to know more you can read how to play croquet here and boules/pétanque here.

How much does it cost to hire from Berkshire Games Co.?

We have a set list of hire pricing packages here. Prices are inclusive of VAT and include drop-off, set up and collection if your venue is within 20 miles of Wokingham, Berkshire. If you are a bit further away we can still help, we will check where you are based so we can calculate fuel costs for the drop off and collection. Please contact us for more information.

What do the children's toy boxes include?

If you have children attending your event it can be great to have some toys and activities available to add an extra element of fun. We can drop off a box of toys that have been uniquely selected based on the ages of your guests. For example, for ages 3-5 we can include puzzles, building blocks, fishing games, cars and more. For older children we can include items such as twister, giant dominoes, target throwing game and more.

We can also organise colouring books and pencils/crayons to be ready for when the children sit down to eat and talk to you about personalisation.
